Network of Hub Schools: S. Adambekov Hub School to Present in Arys

This year, the S. Adambekov School in Arys has been included in the project “Development of the Potential of Hub Schools in Rural Regions”. This project is aimed at reducing the gap in the quality of education between urban and rural schools and is implemented by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Khalkyna fund, AITAS Holding, Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools (NIS) and the Fund for Sustainable Development of Education.

The project has been implemented since 2022. Within its framework, 135 schools of the country have already become part of the network of hub schools, and their material and technical base has been significantly improved.
In 2024, the S. Adambekov School has become part of the project. This year, 32 classrooms and additional education studios have been fully equipped here. Kazakhstan Khalkyna fund has allocated about KZT250 million for these purposes. Beisen Tazhibayev, Deputy Akim of Turkestan region, stressed the importance of a network of hub schools for the region:
“Every fourth pupil of our country studies in Turkestan region. Our goal is to make the region a center for training qualified personnel. Therefore, we pay great attention to education. This is already the 12th hub school in our region, next year we will open 4 more,” Deputy Akim of the region said.
Lyazzat Shyngysbayeva, the representative of Kazakhstan Khalkyna fund noted the scale of the project:
“Our Fund implements more than 100 projects. Hub schools are one of our key and largest projects. The network now covers 135 districts. In the future, we plan to open hub schools in every district and single-industry city of the country. The project partners make a significant contribution: Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools train teachers, and AITAS Holding covers the operating costs of the project operator - the Fund for Sustainable Development of Education.”
Teachers of schools included in the network of hub schools undergo internships and training at Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, as well as participate in seminars, trainings and intensive courses. For three years, they will receive advice and support from NIS branches.

The project for the development of hub schools started in 2022. In the first year, 17 schools from rural regions of the country became participants in the project. In 2023, 63 schools joined the network of hub schools. Thus, this year the network of hub schools has reached 135. The work will continue next year.
