Monitoring of the Knowledge of Students of Hub Schools to Start

Monitoring of academic achievements of students in grades 4 and 8 from 62 participating schools of the project “Development of the Potential of Hub Schools in Rural Areas” starts in Kazakhstan. From March 4 to March 19, students at hub schools will be tested in basic subjects, for each of which they will need to answer 20 tasks in 40 minutes. Monitoring was developed and held by the Center for Pedagogical Measurements of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools AEO in order to identify the current level of knowledge and skills of students in order to provide further target pedagogical support in learning. Monitoring results are confidential.

4th grade students will have to answer tasks in the following subjects: Mathematics, Natural Science and Learning the World, Kazakh/Russian language – 60 tasks, which take 2 hours.

8th grade students: Mathematics, Kazakh/Russian, Kazakh/Russian language and Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology – a total of 140 tasks, which take 4 hours and 40 minutes.

The Potential Development of the Hub Schools in Rural Areas project was launched in 2022. It aims to reduce the education gap between rural and urban schools. The operator of the project was the Education Sustainable Development Fund (ESDF), the sponsors are the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Fund and the AITAS holding. The general partner of the project is Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools AEO, which has taken over the academic part.
