The main idea of the exhibition is to show innovative initiatives of rural schools. The photo exhibition reveals the desire of schools in the regions to master new technologies, their competitiveness, their impact on the development of the local community, and emphasizes the daily life and identity of rural residents.
The exhibition is organized by ÓzgeEpic creative hub with the support of the Fund for Sustainable Development of Education. It is worth noting that the Fund is actively implementing projects aimed at reducing the inequality in the quality of education between rural and urban schools in Kazakhstan.
The project curator is Togzhan Kurmanzhankyzy. Famous photographers - Aigerim Begimbet and Sabina Abdimalik - were invited to the project. They went to Zhualy village of Zhambyl region and spent a week with students of Alikhan Bukeikhan school.
Aigerim Begimbet is a journalist and photographer, winner of the 100 New Faces project, winner of the Urker National Award, author of Tirshilik and Turkestan Women exhibitions.
Sabina Abdimalik is an artist photographer whose works have been exhibited in Almaty, Atyrau and Astana. She also had the Tuste solo exhibition, in addition, she is engaged in the creation of documentaries.
During the exhibition, photographers shared their creative ideas and introduced some of the heroes of the exhibition.
The photo exhibition is held within the framework of the project “Development of the Potential of Hub Schools in Rural Regions”.
