Open Day to Has Been Held at the Uzynkol Village School

The open day has been held at hub school No. 1 of Uzynkol village of Kostanai region, which became a participant of the project “Development of the Potential of Hub Schools in Rural Areas”. In the next three years, more than 70 teachers of the school will take advanced training courses at Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools AEO, and the quality of knowledge will rise significantly, they say at the school.

Uzynkol school No. 1 was founded in 1968, and in 2013 the building underwent major repairs. This year, as part of the project for the development of hub schools, 36 classrooms were updated, including an art studio, Abai’s office, robotics, STEM laboratory, etc. The computer science room was equiped with a full set of computers.

“More than 600 students study in our school in two shifts. Our students saw the new classrooms and textbooks for the first time today, of course, they were very impressed. We have revised the concept of the library: now students and teachers can calmly prepare for lessons and additional classes. I would like to mention the recreation areas separately, because our school has very strong chess players. Now, during the changes, they can get even more involved in the intellectual game,” the school Director says.

Teachers of the school have already started training conducted on the basis of Nazarbayev intellectual schools. Intensive courses covering modern techniques and teaching methods will last for 5-6 months, and then will be accompanied by three years of methodological support for the whole school.

Gulnara Duskaziyeva, the Director of Kostanai NIS, expressed her readiness to provide all possible support to Uzynkol school.

“Today we see that a physical environment has been created for the student. However, it is not enough. Our big idea is to bring the school to the level of a new consciousness. A consciousness that is ready for change. Changes should always be for the better, every day, every lesson. We will accompany them in this process, seminars and master classes, open lessons and joint projects have already been planned and scheduled. The most important thing is the quality of education and comprehensive personal development that a child can receive at school,” Gulnara Duskaziyeva says.
