Today, the project “Development of the Hub School Potential in Rural Areas” has been presented in Shaulder village of Turkestan region. This project is aimed at improving the quality of education, introducing the best pedagogical practices and techniques and providing the necessary material and technical base for hub schools.
Scientific, methodological and expert support of all methodological support of teachers of the hub school is carried out directly by the project team of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools AEO.
“129 teachers are currently working at the school. As part of the project, 81 teachers were trained at Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools and 55 did the internship. There is hope that we will take advantage of this opportunity and raise an educated generation,” Adilkhan Aripbekov, Director of Boarding School No. 4, expressed his opinion.
It should be noted that on the site of the Intellectual School of FMD, subject internships were conducted for teachers and school administrators. The whole process is accompanied by methodological support in the form of seminars, webinars, internships, master classes and workshops. For the effectiveness of the lesson we introduce digital and educational resources. Methodological support of teachers and the school will continue until 2025.
“Today there is a gap between rural and urban schools, the decline in the quality of education is especially reflected in rural areas. For a systematic and comprehensive solution of this issue, the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Fund, together with partners, has decided to develop rural hub schools that will become competence centers and will contribute to improving the quality of teaching in other schools. Within the framework of the program “Development of the Hub School Potential in Rural Areas”, we equip and provide methodological support to 17 rural hub schools so that in the future the acquired knowledge and skills can be transferred to other underfilled schools where there are problems with the material and technical base and personnel. Today, 10 schools are equipped in the regions,” Lazzat Chinkisbayeva, the Deputy CEO of Kazakhstan Khalkyna Public Fund, said.
Throught funding from the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Fund for almost KZT249.8 million, the school is equipped with classrooms and workshops for additional education - modern school workshops for the development of academic and creative abilities of children have been installed, robotics and computer science classrooms, an Intellectum hall, a STEM laboratory, an ART studio, and even its own TV studio have been launched. The school library has become an additional educational resource platform for teachers, students and even parents.
“Our classes have become much more interesting. Children really enjoy laboratories, drawing lessons, chess. We want to be at school more and more, getting ready for lessons, Olympiads,” Aiaru Nurlan and Alua Yessengel, pupils of 5B grade note.
In addition, the Education Sustainable Development Fund and specialists of the project partner, Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools AEO have completed work on the analysis of the educational environment and the quality of teaching at school. Following this analysis, recommendations for the development of the school, increasing the quality of education have been formed, and advanced training courses necessary for teachers have been identified.
“Our Fund is engaged in the development of hub schools. To date, the project covers 17 regions of Kazakhstan, in which about 13 thousand children study and about 2 thousand teachers work. I also want to note that the training program is conducted by the project partner, NIS AEO on a free basis, all operational and administrative costs are borne by the project operator – ESDF at the expense of sponsorship funds of AITAS Holding,” Daniyar Toktarbayev, Director of the Education Sustainable Development Fund says.
