Updated School to Has Been Presented in Zhanakorgan District

Zhanakorgan school was selected to participate in the second stage of the project “Development of the Potential of Hub Schools in Rural Areas” and updated with the support of the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Fund, the Fund for Sustainable Development of Education and Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools.

Yesterday, a large number of villagers gathered at Zhanakorgan Secondary School No. 286. Veterans and parents of children studying at the educational institution came to get acquainted with the updated school.

The school has renovated 26 new classes in basic subjects and 10 classes of additional education for 300 students, a total of 36 classes. They include STEM laboratories, a robotics and special art studio, and a film studio. In addition, advanced training courses were held for school teachers within the framework of the project. The project “Development of the Potential of Hub Schools in Rural Areas” is aimed at improving the quality of education in schools, reducing the gap in the quality of education between urban and rural schools.

According to Akmaral Sadyrovna, the physics teacher, thanks to the renovation of the school, teachers can conduct many experiments in practice.

“Now we have the opportunity to conduct all the experiments included in the school curriculum. For example, with the help of Roqed panels and the Einstein Laboratory, we can demonstrate in practice the oscillations of a mathematical pendulum and formulas. This is just one example. That is, it becomes easier for us to explain to children, and students grasp it faster,” the teacher says.

Starting this year and for the next 3 years, Zhanarkorgan school will closely cooperate with Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools. The Center for Pedagogical Excellence of the National Academy of Sciences conducts a special training program for rural teachers. Also, the school will annually monitor the level of education.

“The project “Development of the Potential of Hub Schools in Rural Areas” also carries new methods and educational processes aimed at teaching children in rural areas at a high level. Last year we launched a school in Aral. Zhanakorgan is our second school in Kyzylorda region. A full-fledged hub school will soon appear in Zhosaly village,” Lazzat Shyngysbayeva says.

According to Daniyar Toktarbayev, the Head of the Fund for Sustainable Development of Education, the project was initiated by the Fund in 2019, then five schools from Akmola and East Kazakhstan regions were selected for the project.

“During the work, we realized that there are positive changes, schools show good results. In three years, the quality of education in schools has increased by 10-12%. Together with the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Fund, we managed to scale the project to a nationwide scale. With the support of our partners, about KZT250 million has been allocated to each school. The material and technical base is being updated with these funds. AITAS Holding will cover the operational costs of the project. Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools are working on the training and retraining of teachers,” Daniyar Toktarbayev says.

The school in Zhanakorgan became the 21st participant of the project “Development of the Potential of Hub Schools in Rural Areas”. By the end of 2024, the partners intend to open 200 hub schools in each district and single-industry city of the country.

It should be noted that the project “Development of the Potential of Hub Schools in Rural Areas” is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as in cooperation with the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Fund, the Fund for Sustainable Development of Education and Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools.
