Development of the Potential of Small Rural Schools Using Digital Technologies in the Aktobe Region

The project was implemented to pilot mechanisms for organizing the educational process, professional development of teachers, and methodological support for small rural schools using digital resources to improve education quality and learning efficiency.

The project was made possible through the support of the following organizations:

Public Foundation "Kazakhstan Khalkyna" – funding for material base upgrades.

Akimat of Aktobe Region – administrative support, internet access for schools, organization of the educational process using digital technologies, and teacher salary payments.

Sustainable Development Fund for Education (FURE) – methodological justification and overall project coordination, school inventory, determination of equipment lists, delivery and balance registration, organization and monitoring of grades 6, 8, and 10 in 142 small rural schools, as well as administrative and operational expenses for upgrading school infrastructure.

Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its subdivisions – methodological and analytical support, as well as professional development for teachers and education administrators.

Organizations managing digital educational platforms – provision of school resources, access to platforms, LMS systems, learning materials, and online education tools, technical support for digital technology implementation, and content updates based on teacher requests.

Project Funding

The project involves 134 small rural schools. The Public Foundation "Kazakhstan Khalkyna" has allocated 2,064,199,025 tenge for the material and technical equipment of the project schools.

The project partners' expenses for training activities, methodological support, provision of educational platform resources, and administrative costs amounted to 1,619,934,600 tenge from their own budgetary funds.
