On February 25, 2026, a meeting of the board of trustees of the Foundation for sustainable development of education (FURO) was held, at which the results of the Fund's work in 2025 were summarized and the key areas for its further work were defined.
Members of the board of trustees highly praised the Fund's contribution to the development of rural education in Kazakhstan and the results of the projects it has implemented.
The main priority for 2026 was defined as the institutionalization of the national network of rural hub schools. Particular attention will be paid to further scaling the model, establishing it at the regulatory level, and creating mechanisms for sustainable funding.
An important event at the meeting was the addition of a new member to the board of trustees: Bolat Zhamishev, a public and civic figure and former chair of the management board of the Qazaqstan Halkyna Fund.
