On April 16, 2026, a national methodological intensive, "Rural school: a space of new opportunities," took place at the Abai secondary school in Tarbagatai district, East Kazakhstan region.
The event brought together teachers, school leaders, and education specialists from different regions of Kazakhstan. Participants exchanged experience and discussed current issues in the development of rural education and modern approaches to improving the quality of teaching.
One of the notable events of the intensive was the presentation of a letter of thanks from Kulyash Shamshidinova, Chair of the board of trustees of the Fund for sustainable development of education and a stateswoman of Kazakhstan, to the staff of the Abai secondary school. The award was received by the school's principal, Nazym Niyazbekkyzy.
The letter of thanks noted the high professionalism of the teaching staff, their drive for continuous development, and the school's contribution to spreading advanced educational practices in the region.
Particular attention was paid to the role of hub schools, which not only provide quality education to their own students but also become centers of methodological support and experience exchange for other rural schools.
Events like this help strengthen the professional community of rural teachers and spread effective educational practices, making quality education more accessible to children regardless of where they live.
