The XIV International scientific and practical conference of the autonomous educational organization "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools," NIS Conference 2025, took place in Astana at Nazarbayev University. The two-day education forum was held under the theme "School education in the digital age: key trends and challenges."
The large-scale event brought together about 1,500 participants, including leading educators, scholars, and international experts from the United States, the United Kingdom, Finland, Australia, and other countries. Participants discussed the integration of artificial intelligence into the educational process, modern approaches to assessing student learning, and the digital transformation of schools. Special attention was paid to investment in human capital and the integration of science into school education.
One of the conference's notable achievements was the recognition of a research project by teachers Raushan Agazhanova and Zhuldyz Batpanayeva of the Amangeldy general education school in Kostanay region. Their work, "Dialogue trainer as a way to develop speaking skills in classes with Kazakh as the language of instruction (7T2)," made it into the top 10 in the audience vote.
The project focuses on developing students' oral speech skills and demonstrates the potential of modern educational tools in rural schools. Taking part in the international conference gave the teachers an opportunity to present their experience to the professional community and exchange practices with colleagues.
